Derek Gottlieb is the Senior Research Director at School Perceptions, an independent education research firm. Prior to this he was an associate professor at the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. He is the host of The Referenda, a podcast about Wisconsin education policy and finance. Dr. Gottlieb studies school governance, accountability protocols, teacher-evaluation policies, and education funding. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, Phi Delta Kappan, and Education Next, among other places.
